Dear Parents..

This is specially made for all parents. 1 question: Do you think you're a good and responsible parent? Keep your answers to yourselves, please. Here are a few tips to becoming an acceptable parent.

Smart guide to effective parenting
Firstly, you need to understand your children. There is only one way for you to do that, which is talking with your children.(Well, unless you have mind reading powers) Have small talks and chatters with your kids. You won't be able to accomplish this if you are those people who tries their best to avoid awkward talks. At the start, you will certainly feel shy of sharing thoughts, as well as your children. So try your best to make things more open, more relaxed. Understanding your child is most vital in avoiding misunderstandings. Take time at this step as it requires lots of effort and time. Just find some time, sit down with your children and start talking. Start understanding.

Secondly, DO NOT make simple accusations. If you're not sure who did it, find out yourselves before throwing your children with harsh words. You do notice that pampering your child doesn't benefit anyone. Your attention should be equal among your children. One more thing, when your children runs to you complaining about something, do not shut him/her up. Listen to their problems and try to solve them. During exams, try not to force them hard to study or attend many tuition classes. This will not only stress them out, it will also reduce their studying desire.(mood) If your children come home with poor marks, try not to scold or punish them. Find out what's gone wrong in their studying habit or method and try to correct it. Encouragement will certainly bolster their spirit.

Last but not least, DO NOT ever compare your children among others but themselves. Your children will hate this and may fail on purpose. So just guide them through their challenging lives and try to be supportive.
