A Hunter's Story

I am a hunter,
feared by most.
Quick as the thunder,
far and close.

Armed daily,
with guns and knives.
Killed many,
and took their lives.

Nightmares,
everyday.
No one cares,
for they get their pay.

Hunter,
we were hated.
Forever,
until our existence faded.

Blood,
every moment.
On our shirts,
we smell rotten.

I tried to quit,
but couldn't.
Bitter overtakes sweet,
I knew I shouldn't.

It continues,
till the day it ended.
For who knew?
The hunter got hunted.
