For You, and For You Only

A wall between us.
Let's see who go first.
You, or me?
Can't you ever see?
I love you.
The things we've gone through.
Why I love you?
Does it need a reason to be true?
I said nonsense.
Made no sense.
Betrayal came.
You're no more the same.
I can't do anything.
My brain doesn't ring.
You were scared.
All I did was cared.
I didn't know what you need.
The barrier...so concrete.
So I guessed.
Ended up in a mess.
The only thing I can do.
Is to always be with you.

-Your's truly-

Tolerance

We humans have individual attitudes, that's what brings quarrels and fights amongst us. You open your moral textbook and I know, you'll yawn at it. But turn to the page where you can learn tolerance. Tolerance is an important virtue we must nurture in ourselves. Without tolerance, havoc. When someone in school makes fun of you, like those annoying friends who calls you things like 'noob' or '@#$%#$', what will you do? If you're smart, you will walk up to them, smile and walk away. Well,if you're not smart, you will roll your sleeves up and start exchanging punches with them. Sometimes they can be over annoying. They can cross the line. If they do that, just walk away, ignore these immature friends of yours. Physical challenges will noy help. It will not help you look stronger, it will not help you look more manly. It will only make you look more foolish.

By the way, the pen IS mightier than the sword.

Betrayal

What is betraying? The simple definition of betray means not to be loyal to someone. Betrayal happens anywhere, anytime, on anyone. Betrayal is a huge problem among us, especially students. You will not know who to trust when you first go to a new school. But it's impossible to stay alone until the end of the semester. So, there's where friends step into our lives. Some of you have good friends; some of you have back-stabbing friends. The only equation to this problem is the simple 5-letter, one syllable word--TRUST. If you start to trust someone, you will not tend to betray them. You'll be surprised that betrayal starts from childhood to the time people start calling you 'old hag'. The way to face this problem is to learn how to accept it. It could be hard, real hard, but we don't achieve anything if we just stay there and worry.

I have someone who is very close and important to me. She told me that she dreamt about something scary, something that can be categorized under the title 'nightmare'. She dreamt that everyone she knew betrayed her, including me, that is. Well, I was kinda shocked when I first heard it, not because I'm included, but because these dreams rarely happen. I gave the same advice and here, I hope everyone who reads this post will start to think like a human and BE a human. Betrayal will only increase if we continue thinking selfishly.

From now on, try to be loyal to whoever confronts you and try not to hurt anyone.

Don't Blame it on the Haze

What is the Malaysians' favourite excuse for car accidents during the haze season? That's right. 'Aiyo, bang, sorry la. Itu Haze kan dah datang. Mata sakit la, tak nampak.' Alright, some will say the haze comes from the open forest burning from other countries. But think deeper, what else causes haze? Smoke! Smoke from vehicles, factories and the most famous-cigarette. While you're in your parent's car, try observing the vehicle in front of you, especially the huge ones. Every 5-10 minutes you'll find out that the vehicle will release black and thick gas. These gas will then rise to the top and destroy our ozone layer. Those which doesn't go to the top? Well, it enters your body!

Vehicles are increasing by the minute and lives are gone by the minute. Try using the catalytic converter. You can also try something even better--stop smoking. You'll not only help yourselves, you can help those around you. Smoking is not fun, nor it makes you look manly. Some of you smoke just to release stress. One advice, put down that cigarette, go see a psychiatrist!

So next time you get a summon for your carelessness on the road, try not blaming it on the haze.

We live on the same earth. This world is dying. Because of us. We need to repent from all mistakes and together, we can change the world.

Racism

Black. White. Yellowish. Brown. No, these are not the colors of your dad's ties. It's the colors of skins. Do you even know what has this world become? Everywhere, we can see 'anti-racism' signs. And everywhere, we can see racism takes place. I highly object racism. He made us the way He likes it and we're here to criticize it? Because of our skin color? Nonsense. If you are an Asian, ever heard of 'orang kulit kuning'? If you're American, ever heard of 'the pale skins'? If you're African, ever heard of 'Nigger'? How do you feel when you're called like that? Awful isn't it?

Next time, start with an 'excuse me' rather than vulgar greetings. We should be treated fairly in every single way, including how we look. We should be proud of what we are and for everyone else too. We are human. We are united.

Unite against racism, love everyone.

Poverty

The next time if your mum tells you the classic"Boy, finish your meal. Do you know how poor and hungry the children in Africa are?"phrase, rather than rolling your eyes and throw words at her, why not think properly? Think that if you were someone who is born in a poor country, what problems will you confront? What will you do to continue living? What will you do to keep your family alive? Many countries are suffering from poverty now. Not just Africa, but countries like Cambodia, Malawi, Somalia, Afghanistan, Burundi and many, many more. The families in these countries can only earn up to a maximum of 600$ a year.

Just picture. When you need water, you'll have to to pump it out. If you need food, begging or hunting will be your only choices. If you need clothing, either stealing or finding your own materials can help. What are these people most prone to? That's right, diseases. The HIV adult prevalence rate in Malawi is 14.20% and the highest in the world is 38.80% which is in Swaziland. The country with the highest death threat is Botswana, with 28.92% of death rate in every 1000 populations. Getting worried? Well, the country with the highest infant mortality rates is Angola, with 192.50 in every 1000 live births.

So, next time if you can't finish your meal, try saving it for another time. And if you happen to come across some donation campaign for the poor, go for it.

Together, we help those who are in need.
Together, we decrease poverty.
Together, we change the world.

Unite

Days and days past and we still are struggling for survive.
Life is getting hard as we try to abide.
Shouts, screams, Moans and cries.
From where the adults and children lie.
Soldiers and troops. Enemies and allies.
They fight and fight. And the end is nigh.

Bombs, guns, cannons and tanks.
Refugees and civilians drove to the banks.
The more lives gone, the higher their ranks.
Their pays grew. Our hearts sank.
The roamed the earth. Sea and land.
From rocks and stones, to dirt and sand.

People suffered from diseases and poverty.
Their pockets, wallet are always empty.
No matter how strong, no matter how manly.
They fled and fled. Hurriedly and quickly.

Now you know. Wars can be avoided. Wars should be avoided. Wars must be avoided.
Shake hands, unite, and stand strong.
Unite against wars, unite for a better life, unite for a better world.
