Mcdonalds and It's Beauties

Obesity. The crisis that is affecting almost the whole world. One of the major reasons why this is happening is because of the fast food intake by most residents. There are many kinds of fast food restaurants around the globe, examples are Wendy's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Carl's Junior, Popeye's, Mary Brown and A&W. What did I left out? Oh yeah, the famous Mcdonalds! Mcdonalds is currently the most successful and popular fast food restaurant internationally. Mcdonalds dominated most of our countries, our minds, and most importantly, our diet. For any of you out there who doesn't know what Mcdonalds is, it's the famous restaurant with a freaky red haired clown standing outside and inside. Mcdonalds serve approximately 47 million hungry customers daily. Mcdonalds, found in 1940 has been satisfying their customers for decades. This famous fast food restaurant has now become a major factor of obesity. What does obesity cause? It causes heart diseases and other dangerous diseases. Let me bring you to a trip to Mcdonalds. Through the golden arches we go... Be prepared...

I pushed the cold door handle open which has the sign 'pull' on it. The friendly waiter greets me with a sinister grin. He curses me with his normal 'welcome' and looks away. I know I'm hallucinating. I walk slowly down to the counter and stand behind a large body, waiting for my turn. I noticed the person standing in front of me has a abnormally large hip and a terrible body odor. Not to be judgmental or anything, he is killing me. After three long, suffering minutes, finally, my turn. I looked at the cashier straight in the eye, glancing at his name tag. 'Darvin' says the tag. 'Having here or take away, sir?' he asked. '...Having here, please.' I replied with hesitation. 'Ok, may I take your order?' he banged his fingers onto the keyboard. ' Yes please, I would like to have...' I paused and looked at the menu. Each item was attracting my attention like some hungry prisoners ready to be released. Then 1 item caught me. ' 1 large set of Double Cheese Burger, please.' He looked at me then back to his computer. 'Alright sir, ten ringgit and ten cents.' I reached into my pocket and took out an orange note and a small coin. I handed the money to the mischievous looking man. I stood next to the counter awaiting my order. After two meaningless minutes, my tray finally arrived. I carried the loaded brown tray and walked to a nearby table, hands trembling along the way. I slide my food across the yellow oily surface and placed my bottoms comfortably against the yellow seat. I glanced around before opening my burger. I saw Ronald Mcdonald staring at me with his big scary eyes down the corner. I gulped and began to unwrap my burger. It didn't look as satisfying as the picture but it still made me hungry. I closed my eyes and took a bite. Crunch. It tasted sooo good. It made me take another, another and another, until it was all in my stomach. I took a sip at my Coke and moved on to the fries. Ok, according to my experience so far, there are two types of fries: the hard one and the soft one. In the past few years of having Mcd, I notice most people prefer the soft one. This is normal, as me myself too have this preference. Next time when you get a soft one, try squeezing it from top to bottom. You'll witness the flow of enjoyment(Seriously, oil were squirting out like mad). I finished my fries quickly. I noticed the more fries you take in, the thirstier you get. and that's the magic that will force the remaining Coke down your throat. After this satisfying meal, I stood up and walked out the restaurant. Know what? I got hungry again not till an hour later! Amazing, yet scary.

So based on the calorific value which the food in Mcdonalds contain, twice a week is considered quite severe to your health. So from now on, live a healthy life and start Mcdieting!!!

Problems, Problems

People around us motivates us. Don't you agree? Well, those of you who are hard working may disagree, but those of you who are lazy bums (like me) have to admit, people around you nags about you not studying, not focusing on yours studies or not having a well-organized time table sticking at your bedroom door. Most parents, like mine, will not tolerate our lazy and inactive attitude unless we are doing what they want--holding a book. Not just any books, but those dull text book which we normally yawn at more than we look at. I am a fourteen year old student and still in the middle of the process of learning. I notice that most parents have the same disease, which is one I like to name as HSCS, also known as Highly Sensitive Comparison Syndrome. Don't understand? Maybe I could just shorten this popular disease to only 3 simple syllables--comparing. During my primary studying process, my mum likes to compare me and my friends as if were fresh fishes in the morning market ready to be compared by hungry buyers. I used to scold my mum for doing this but all she does back is just stare at me and orders me to finish my half-way finished dinner.

There is no point asking yourselves to gain knowledge(known as studying) but not doing it. That is just like telling your friend you'll be at his house but didn't. Motivation camps and lecture seminars will not help you unless you help yourself first. Students are facing problems lately. Many, many problems in fact. Disciplinary problems, friendship problems, financial problems, love problems, problems coping with studies(especially those who were from chinese primary schools facing difficulties understanding the new format, which is mostly english and bahasa melayu-based) and many, many more. The problem is not how to avoid these problems, but how to solve it. These problems will occur. It is up to you to solve them, anyhow.

Disciplinary Problems
Lets start with students, shall we? I know I'm still a student but I can tell you, I don't seek for troubles. Students. Mentioned by most people. What are students? What are they suppose to be like? Simple, students should be well disciplined people who seeks knowledge, not for exams, but for their own future. I see students in the school compound running here and there, chasing each other. Ok, you may ask, whats the wrong to that? It's just running. What if I tell you that they continued to run and chase even after the discipline teacher warned them. You may think that those cane-wielding, sour-faced 'guardians' are just there to create trouble. But think, why are they creating these 'troubles'? What if one of the student stumble across a rock a knock his eyes against the pots in the hall? It can cause total, permanent blindness! What if one of the student accidentally smack another students teeth? It can cause serious injuries! So next time, think before you decide to throw cruel words at your teacher.Learn how to respect others and eventually, others will respect you.

Friendship Problems
What ship can never sink? Friendship of course!! Friends are those who supports you, gives you useful advices and even face your problems with you! I encountered a case of serious friend betrayal this year in my class, well, it didn't happen on me of course. It happened on someone very important to me. I'll just make it simple. Her best friend betrayed her with mere lies just to protect herself from being hated. I knew how serious it was because I saw tears from her. Now, a simple lie can cost us many things, yet many people are still committing them(despite the phrase 'liars go to hell')What happened to that girl? Well, she is now back to normal and smiling everyday. Friends are His gifts to us. We should never ever categorize them into friends or best friends. Each of them should be equally treated, equally special. So from now on, treat every single friend of yours fairly.

Financial Problems
Money, money, money. Something that we use to survive every single day. We use it everyday while the bank prints it daily too. In the school compound, money will be the least concern among students as things in school will not be too expensive. Despite parents telling us not to borrow money from others, we do not take the advice seriously. Money can save your lives and can destroy yours at the same time. Many minor and major problems can occur because of money. Students are starting to purchase unnecessary items. Maybe money will not be your cause of headache now, but take one advice, avoid money borrowing and lending. One more thing you can do is start saving and plan for the future. Avoid unnecessary spending too.

Love Problems
Now, here's where things get serious, too serious. All of you will encounter this problem, trust me. Love, what comes first? Feelings? You may be facing this problems yourself, now. Tell you what, some of you met love, some of you are pursuing it and some of you already have the ones you adore but do not have the guts to confess. Everyone have rights to taste love, everyone. What I'm telling you is not to fall too deep into it. Those of you who are quite vulnerable to love but you don't want to accept it, let me recommend a book which is quite useful. I Kissed Dating Goodbye by Joshua Harris. This book can be a huge help.

About nothing but life

Sweet, bitter, sour and salty.
Things you mostly encounter in life.
Problems not only little but many.
Problems that represents cleavers and knives.
Sometimes they make us feel empty.
Makes our hearts throb and dive.

Life, said with ease.
What matters most we shall see.
Wars and fights, they must cease.
A better man, we must be.
Every moment we deal with these.
Create a world suitable for you and me.

Every time I look at the sky,
Birds fly in flocks.
Climbed my thoughts, far and high.
Hands of time, twisting in clocks,
The start is nigh,
Creation of Lord, twigs and rocks.

Spring, summer, autumn and winter,
Seasons are meant to be enjoyed.
Things that are meant to be forever,
Be amazed, rather than annoyed.
Think and think, what are we after?
Work hard, don't be foiled.

Clouds, sun and the moon.
Beauties of the skies.
Turning into ashes soon,
We are making them DIE.
What are we? Nothing but goons,
Till the day the earth turn abandoned and dry.

Time is Precious

Time, what is time?
Is it what you call 'gold'?
Is it the noise you hear every time you sleep next to a clock?
What the adults say? Time is money?
Is time something you sometimes hate? Sometimes adore?
Questions and questions and questions...

Let me tell you,
Time is not to be wasted, to be thrown away.
A simple 'wait' can cost you a few seconds
and a few seconds can cost you your life.
Recall,
How many times have you said 'wait' in your entire life?
One? Two? Three maybe?
Yes, Three BILLION i guess.
The only currency to buy time is not RM, not U$D,
But Appreciation.
So next time,
don't think twice,
act immediately.
And act rationally.

A Mom's Love II

Here we are again. So you must be wondering what actually happened to that woman I mentioned in 'A mom's Love'. Well, here is the story.

It was a heavy downpour that day. Pedestrians could be seen running here and there, avoiding the gigantic droplets. Noisy footsteps could be heard everywhere. This happened in a minor village near the south China border. The name of the village was special, especially to all the mothers. It was named by the founder of this village,Tak Soon, who is now still surviving as the chief of this particular village. It was a special day--Mother's day. "Hu Yong! Hu yong!", someone called out.The word Hu simply means tiger, while the word Yong represents braveness. "Mei na yu san ma?(Didn't you bring your bring your umbrella?)" Of course, Hu Yong was the woman. "Mei you a! ni you ma?(No I didn't! Did you?)
"Hu Yong replied loudly, hoping her weak voice could overpower the noise of rain banging against objects. A tall man, about two inches taller than Hu Yong ran towards her awkwardly, two umbrellas he was carrying, one on each hand. Hu Yong was a beautiful lady with big blue eyes and velvet skin. "Aiya. Ni zhen wu tu a! Zhi dao yao xia yu le hai bu dai yu san! Haha..(Oh dear, so forgetful of you! You know it's gonna rain but you still didn't bring any umbrellas! Haha..)" the man said out loud, patting Hu Yong on her damp hair. "Xie Xie ni o, Wei Bai!(Thank you so much, Wei Bai)" Hu Yong replied with a broad smile, taking the umbrella from Wei Bai's left hand. The word Wei means haven't while the word Bai means fail. This was two years ago... Soon, they got married.

Okay, so far so good, huh? Let's skip to the night where things ended. Er, I meant started.

"
Zhe shi sui de kou hong ying!? Wei Bai!(Who's lipstick stain is this!? Wei Bai?)" Hu Yong shouted furiously as she pulls the sleeve of her drunken husband's shirt. "Cao shen me chao? you de zui ni ma xian zai? Shi nu ren!(What are you making noise for? Have I offended you or something? Idiot women!)" shouted Wei Bai. "Hao ba! Gen ni zai yi qi zhen xin ku! Li huen ba!(Alright then! I suffered enough staying with you! Let's divorce!)" Hu Yong screamed furiously, marching out of the door and picked up her twins who were fast asleep and left.

So it ended with a furious women's request and a drunken man's approval. Classic. So Hu Yong and her twins roamed the streets of the village ever since. Sweet ending? A heart breaking one if you ask me.

By the way, the village is known as Mu Ai Chun. Which means Mother's Love Village.

A Mom's Love

"Aiya!!"this particular familiar two-syllable 'word' came from my 51 years old mum. She is considered a very outstanding mum if you ask me, although she nags alot. You most probably have one just like mine and you'll be sighing about this unfortunate gift. Let me ask you something, do you prefer a mum who encourages you to repent from mistakes, or one who bolsters your desire to committing more? Your answers could be different, some will say the first one while some willl say the other. Well, before you decide any answers, I would like to share something with you.

The wind was blowing mildly under a midnight sky where the branches of trees dance and hoots of big-eyed owls could be heard."sui la, wo de haizhi..(sleep, my little ones)"a women at the age of thirty five whispered to her twins, aged two. Then she started to hum lullabies to their soft, tendor ears. This women had been taking care of two babies, carrying two ponderous burdens for two years, alone, as a beggar.
Her ex-spouse, who is now a wealthy businessman working for a grand shipping company, left her and her infants two years ago. The reason? Not because she cheated on him, but the other way round. You will be thinking this as a weird joke, but I'll come back to this later. Back to her. Her eyes flashed open as one of her babies sneezed softly. She took off the torn jacket she was wearing-the only fabric keeping her warm-and wrapped it around them. Despite the chilling weather, she struggled not to sneeze, as the sudden act will wake her babies up. She held her breath until the desire to sneeze was gone. She bit her cold, dry lips and began to make a prayer."Lao tien ye..qiu qiu ni ba zhe tian qi tiao wen ba..(Oh Lord, i beg you to improve this weather, make it warmer)"

Okay, end of story. So what do you think? There's a famous saying"tien xia de ma ma dou shi yi yang de.."which means"every mother on earth are the same", equally stubborn, equally frustrating, equally loving. So from know on, love your mum more than you do now. Besides, what is there to lose?
